Welfare Officer - Leading Charity - North Yorkshire
An experienced Welfare Officer, who will ideally have strong communication skills, previous work experience from within the charity / 3rd sector and, ideally, volunteer management knowledge, is required by a leading charity that offers services throughout North Yorkshire. An equivalent yearly salary of up to £20,850 is offered.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for providing support to the welfare manager including identifying needs and allocating referrals, supporting and guiding all volunteers, managing the caseload and working on developing further partnerships with the community.
6-month Fixed Term Contract.
The Welfare Officer will ideally have the following skills / qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of Welfare Services and Systems
- Strong administrative and communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – including Word, Outlook and Excel
- Any experience of working with volunteers would be a distinct advantage
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Operations in York, Harrogate, Thirsk, Easingwold, Wetherby
Salary / Benefits:
An equivalent salary of £20,850 per annum is offered.
This role is initially a 6-month fixed term contract.
